Here at Joseph Long & Sons we continually take great pleasure in supporting our local community. With this in mind we are both delighted and proud to be associated with Donaghadee Mini Rugby. The 'minis' offer an outstanding opportunity for boys and girls to develop their team building and communication skills as well as encouraging them to get out in the fresh air and maintain a healthy lifestyle. As a family business, we are delighted that Cohen, Grandson of Joseph, benefits from the friendly approach the club and coaches offer the children allowing us to say first hand that they all enjoy their time mingling with children from various areas around the peninsula away from their routine school and family lifestyles. Again, it gives us all here at Joseph Long & Sons the greatest pleasure in being associated with Donaghadee Rugby Club and we wish the club, at both mini and senior levels, every success!

Merry Christmas From All At Joseph Long & Sons As a family business we firmly believe in giving what we can back to society and this year in lieu of sending Christmas Cards we have decided to make a donation to Marie Curie via a very touching story with a local man, Stephen Rowley. Following the death of his Mother back in December 1999, Stephen took it upon himself to raise funds for the Marie Curie Centre, located at Kensington Road, Belfast, where his mother was cared for, and since then Stephen has continued to raise much needed funds to assist the centre in providing the high standard of support to other families that are too often devastated by cancer. With the support of family, friends and also the members of Scrabo Golf Club, Stephen organises an annual fundraiser that has continued to receive much support over the years. Since starting this venture back in December 2000, Stephen has raised in excess of £90,000.00 including this years total of over £5,000.00. A tremendous effort by Stephen and one that we as a firm are delighted to support. With plans to hand over the total for this year on Thursday, if any of our customers wish to support Stephen we will gladly accept donations through our shop that we will forward to him on Wednesday to be included in this years amount.
